Accessing Home Directory with Samba

Samba is an implementation of a Windows file sharing protocol and enables Windows clients to share files on a Unix host. Samba is running on our file server, by using Samba you can access your home folder from a Windows PC. You can thus save important Windows files in your home folder which is backed up regularly and you can open Windows documents (.docx) that reside in your home folder with Windows applications (Word).‎
A common way to use Samba on a Windows client is by mapping the home directory to a Windows Drive:‎
